His Excellency the President, Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika wishes to urge the faith community and all Malawians to pray for good rains and a productive season this coming FridaySaturday and Sunday.

Although rains have resumed falling in some parts of the country after dry spells, the President is requesting us all to continue praying for the areas that are still experiencing dry spells.

The President has also directed all Cabinet Ministers and senior Government officials to attend prayers in their respective places of worship in order to lead by example.

Further, the President urges us as a nation to pray for victims of natural disasters and to support the victims in their time of need. The President believes that we all can do something to support someone somewhere because we all have something to offer.
Finally, the President passionately believes that a God fearing nation finds  favor before the Creator.
